another poor attempt at hindi poetry.. :)

Gumsun, tanha se baithe ho kyun
Geeli tasweeron mein khoye ho kyun,
Adhe adhure, khafa se yun
Adha sa wo udhar bhi hai.

Pawan ke pankhonn par ud chalen yun
Chand lamho ko fir jee len hum tu,
To shayad ye raat na bheegi ho yun
Aao ab laut chalein.

And believe fantasies…

I want to take this present,

Comfort :)

A slice of sunshine
Peeking from within the trees,
Lighting the cobbled pathways
Leading me to the means.

A slice of heaven
Waits patiently for me,
Lighting the dying fire in my eyes
Warming me from within.

Set in dates,
Loving connections
So tough to break…

But time runs along
By years and decades,
And yesterday seems
A stranger already.

The thoughts are slower
But life is faster,
Too many choices
And very few words…

I hold on though
To some moments past,

I thought I had known the questions
I thought I had all the answers,
But it overwhelms me now
The more I learn, the lesser I know…

I keep wanting to fall back
On the old ways of the familiar and known,
