Dil mein kuch armaan liye,

Man mein kuch sawaal liye,

Nikal pade bina khayaal,

Jannat ki ik khoj mein.

Palkon mein kuch sapne liye,

Nazron me kuch lamhe liye,

Chalte rahe bina behke,

Being Human

There’s a mermaid on my ceiling tonight,

Bereft of her beloved sea.

She hides her face in her hands,

Her hair comes down to her knees.

Full of despair, she cries out-

He’s so far away from me tonight,

The distance- too long to bridge.

The faith has dried up in me,

Flowing into salty seas.

The shadows fade on wall by dawn,
